Action Plan

Preliminary and detailed Phase II environmental site assessments (initial and detailed testing programs) were completed in 2011 and 2014, respectively. A screening level risk assessment (2013) and preliminary quantitative risk assessment (PQRA, 2014) were also completed. Additional assessments were carried out from 2016-17 through to 2019-20 to close data gaps and update the PQRA (2019-20). Following acceptance of PQRA report recommendations, the NRC developed a risk management strategy in 2020-21. Based on the findings of the risk management strategy, the groundwater monitoring wells were decommissioned and revegetation work in disturbed areas was completed in 2021-22. The site file was closed at the end of fiscal year 2021-2022. The property continues to be used for research purposes.
