Pensioners' Dental Services Plan

Pensioners’ Dental Services Plan

Learn about the Pensioners’ Dental Services Plan (PDSP), a contributory voluntary dental services plan for pensioners (retired members) of the federal public service for specific dental services and supplies not covered under a provincial or territorial health care or dental care plan. For more information on eligibility under the PDSP, please refer to the PDSP Rules.

Important:

If you choose to opt-out of your PDSP coverage (after completing the mandatory period), you:

  • will not be allowed to re-register for the PDSP in the future
  • cannot apply for coverage under the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) instead

Exception: members who opted out of their PDSP coverage before December 11, 2023, may be eligible to apply for the CDCP.
